Terms of Service

Effective date: March 26, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of learn about God™ websites, applications, and related services at learnaboutgod.app and its subdomains (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by EION Development, LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company, under the learn about God™ brand.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

These Terms apply to the learn about God™ Services. Separate terms for EION Development, LLC's corporate website are available at eion.dev/terms.

1. Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You must use the Services in compliance with applicable law. If you submit contact information, join a waitlist, or otherwise engage with us, you are responsible for ensuring your information is accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for activity that occurs through your interactions with our Services and for maintaining the security of your own devices and accounts on third-party platforms.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, infrastructure, or data
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the functionality or security of the Services
  • Use automated scraping, harvesting, or extraction methods except where explicitly permitted
  • Submit sensitive personal information (such as government IDs, financial account details, or medical records) into Companion prompts
  • Misrepresent affiliation with learn about God™ or impersonate another person or organization

3. Intellectual Property and Content

Except where otherwise noted, the Services, including branding, design, software, text, graphics, and ministry materials created by us, are owned by EION Development, LLC and/or its licensors and are provided under the learn about God™ brand. These materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view and use the Services for personal, non-commercial, ministry-aligned use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit our proprietary content without prior written permission.

4. User Submissions and Communications

If you send us messages, feedback, prayer requests, or other submissions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content as needed to operate, improve, and support the Services and ministry communication.

Do not submit confidential information you do not want shared with ministry staff or service providers assisting us in communications and operations.

5. Third-Party Services

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms, including Discord, YouTube, Supabase, Featherless.ai, Vercel-hosted infrastructure, payment tools, and email providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not these Terms.

When you use laG™ Companion, your prompts and related context may be processed by these providers to generate responses, maintain service reliability, and investigate abuse or misuse.

We are not responsible for third-party content, functionality, outages, or data practices.

Companion AI-Specific Terms

laG™ Companion is an AI-assisted Scripture study feature. Responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your situation, and you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

We may apply usage limits to Companion features, including per-user message limits, rate limits, throughput controls, and temporary cooldowns to protect service availability and reliability.

You agree not to abuse Companion access, including by:

  • Circumventing or attempting to bypass usage limits, quotas, or access controls
  • Using automation, scripts, or coordinated accounts to generate excessive requests
  • Prompting Companion to produce unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
  • Attempting to probe, reverse engineer, or disrupt model/system behavior

Companion responses are for informational and study purposes only and are not legal, medical, mental health, financial, or emergency guidance.

You remain responsible for your decisions, actions, and how you use Companion outputs in personal, ministry, or public contexts.

6. Service Availability and Disclaimers

We may update, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the Services at any time, with or without notice.

The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EION Development, LLC, learn about God™, and their team members, volunteers, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to your use of the Services.

Where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless EION Development, LLC, learn about God™, and their affiliates, team members, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for users, ministry operations, or third parties, or used the Services unlawfully.

For Companion in particular, we may throttle, rate-limit, restrict, or suspend access (temporarily or permanently) if usage appears abusive, excessive, automated, or inconsistent with these Terms.

Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to first attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting contact@learnaboutgod.app. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, the dispute resolution terms below apply.

11. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Class Action Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except for small claims matters or claims seeking injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access.

Arbitration will be conducted in English and seated in South Carolina, USA, unless the parties agree otherwise. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

You and we each waive any right to a jury trial and waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, private attorney general action, or other representative proceeding, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

If this section is found unenforceable as to a specific claim or remedy, that claim or remedy will proceed in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and all other claims remain subject to this section.

Arbitration opt-out: you may opt out of this arbitration and class action waiver section by sending written notice within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Your notice must include your full name, contact email, date of acceptance, and a clear statement that you opt out of Section 11. Send opt-out notices to contact@learnaboutgod.app.

12. Ministry Status and Contributions

13. Donations, Payments, and Refunds

If you provide financial support, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and that the information you provide is accurate.

Except where required by law or explicitly stated at the time of payment, ministry support payments are final and non-refundable. If paid products or services are offered in the future, any specific refund terms presented at checkout will control for that purchase.

Merchandise, subscriptions, or paid services offered through third-party platforms may be subject to those platforms' billing and refund rules.

14. Copyright and DMCA Notice

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content available through the Services infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to contact@learnaboutgod.app with sufficient detail for us to identify and evaluate the claim.

Your notice should include: your contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location, a statement of good-faith belief, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.
